I went to Evanston Township High School where I received a great cold-war science and math education, but a particular hat tip to Bob Horton and Mephie Ngoi of the ChemPhys program.
I have a BA in Physics from Reed College and highly recommend the course notes of Nic Wheeler who assigned me my first (2D) ray tracing program (though he didn't know how to program!).
I then went to grad school at the University of Illinois where I TA'd for Don Hearn, was advised in research by Bill Kubitz, and did some Viz world for the Center for Supercomputing Research and Development working under the tutelage of Allan Tuchman and Dennis Gannon.
I then did stints at Indiana Univeristy, Cornell University, University of Utah, RayScale LLC, Nvidia, Purity LLC, and again Nvidia where I had too many great coworkers and students to list.
